ABOUT THE MANY PORTALS WEBSITE

This website is a free, "not for profit", "noncommercial", informative website.
It is my contribution to our society and to humanity (my legacy).
I do not use my last name, in this website, only Ivan Q. or Ivan dQ. Because I am a very private person, and in my later years I have become socially shy. And this website is not about me, it is mostly about some of the knowledge that I have learned (and continue to learn) in my 79 years of life, and about a few other things such as art, personal opinions, and some humor.

Each portal deals with a different matter. You will probably like some and dislike others.
I hope you enjoy the ones you like, and ignore the one you do not like.

I do not play golf, nor do some of the things that retired people do. Instead, I continue to learn about many things. You could say that I am addicted to learning. And in the last 14 years I have been a Microscopist and a Microbe Hunter. And this website also takes some of my time, since I am the creator, designer and maintainer of it. And I occasionally update some of the portals, and add new portals or delete some old portals.

Most pages are displayed in white letters, or green letters, on a black background, unless your browser is set to use a different color combination. I choose white on black because that is better for our vision. The worst color format, for computer displays screens, is black letters on a white background (that combination is good for printed pages, but not for display screens).

Anyone should be able to access this website from anywhere in the world, using any web browser that obeys the HTML language. Unless the server on their internet provider is blocking their access to it. I do not use any Java scripts, nor any Apple or Microsoft specific gimmick. This website does not use any cookies nor does it do any tracking. I create the HTML pages using an HTML editor in a Linux operating system. I some times access (as a test) this website from 4 or 5 different browsers on different operating systems, to ensure universal access.

I hope that some persons will gain some knowledge from some of the portals, or enjoy or be entertained by some of the portals.
