It is obvious that all of the states and the majority of the people are in favor of the medical use of cannabis. However, the DEA, FDA, and Justice Department continues to ignore all the medical data and the wish of the states and the wish of the people. I guess they want job security by continuing the Cannabis prohibition and the "War on Drugs" that was started by the paranoid dishonest crook known as president Nixon, who was afraid of, and hated, Jews, hippies, liberals, socialists, democrats, African Americans, and anyone who used narcotics other than alcohol, tobacco, or coffee. Also, at fault, are the intelligence deficient (or corrupted congressmen) who allowed the DEA to control the Schedules of Control Substances, instead of giving that authority to the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Surgeon General.

After all the U.S.patents (and patents from other countries) that have been granted for the medical use of cannabis, and all the testimony from people who have been healed or medically helped by the use of cannabis, and all the medical studies done in the US and in many other countries, only a delusional  mentally challenged person or a corrupted official (who is getting money from the mafia, or from pharmaceutical companies, or the tobacco & alcohol industries) would believe that there is no medical use for cannabis and that it must stay in Schedule I.

Update (Dec 2024):
The DEA has recommended that Marijuana (Cannabis) be moved from schedule I to Schedule III. Passing this "political hot potato" to the Department of Justice and the White House.

Update (Dec 2025):
President Trump is considering moving Cannabis from schedule 1 to schedule III, because that's were it should be. If he succeeds. He would prove to be more honest and competent than other presidents ( democrats and republicans ), who hinted, before their elections, that they would do that, but once elected, they did nothing about it.
