HELICOPTER RIDE

A friend and I, hitchhike a helicopter ride from Longbinh to Saigon.
The helicopter was a Huey named "Snoppy" (like Charlie Brown's dog).
So I took a few photos from the air.

The Bell UH-1 Iroquois (nicknamed "Huey") was extremely useful in the Vietnam war.
It quickly carried soldiers into or out of battlefields.
It could deliver supplies (ammunition, food, etc) to areas that were not very accessible by land.
And was extremely helpful at transporting the wounded.
