THE TRUTH ABOUT CANNABIS

( HEMP, MARIJUANA )

Revised: Dec. 2025

I am presenting here, overwhelming scientific evidence of the many medical applications of this wonderful medicinal herb. No other plant has as many medical patents as cannabis does.

I am NOT advocating the smoking of this medicinal herb. I am against the smoking of ANY substance. We should eat (not smoke) this plant. Or use a vaporizer. Or extract the necessary chemicals from it, depending on what illness we intent to treat.

Here is a link to a study done by John Hopkins University and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center:
Prescription drugs overdose deaths lower in states with legal medical marijuana

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) published:
Medical Cannabis Laws and Opioid Analgesic Overdose Mortality in the United States (1999-2010)

The above results are due to the fact that Cannabis amplifies the pain blocking effect of opioids, aspirin and ibuprofen . Therefore, a smaller quantity of the opiod, aspirin or ibuprofen can be used, if combined with cannabis, to block the same amount of pain.

In the essay "CANNABIS: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly" (See link at the bottom of this page). I give a brief description (and Web links) to some of the medical patents that have already been awarded to scientist and organizations such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. These patents are not awarded without prior medical or scientific studies that prove the claims made in the patents. I also mention the problems caused by prohibition.

Here is a map of the U.S.A. showing the current status of Cannabis in the different states. Noticed that there are now 24 states & Wash. D.C. that have legalized cannabis for recreational use. And in  all 50 states it is legal for medicinal purposes.

It is only a matter of time, before the politicians (some corrupted, some just idiots) at the federal level (Wash. D.C.) have to comply with the will of the people and end this prohibition.

Since the 1970s, when the corrupted president Nixon (who would have been impeached had he not resigned) appointed the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse (also known as the Shafer Commission), it has been known that cannabis is less addictive and less harmful than alcohol and tobacco. The recommendations of the study were ignored by the Nixon administration, and their results were not allowed to be published. Why? The secret Nixon Tapes (no longer secret) show the true personality of Nixon, a delusional paranoid that feared and hated Jews, hippies, liberals, socialist, communist, African Americans, democrats, and anyone who used any narcotic other than alcohol, tobacco, or coffee . What I don't fully understand is, why does the current government continue his "war on drugs" policies? knowing that he was a dishonest liar and a delusional paranoid. And having a lot of new data, not available in 1970, regarding the medical uses of Cannabis. And knowing that since the 1970s Cannabis has been sold legally in  Netherlands' Coffeeshops and the per capita consumption of cannabis, there, is lower than in the USA. Some members of the DEA and other government officials must be getting a lot of payola from drug traffickers. Because it is the drug traffickers who have the most to loose if Cannabis is made legal.

Nixon created the DEA and launched the "War on Drugs" that has not reduced the used of illegal drugs, has cost tax payers more than a trillion dollars, has created billionaires and millionaires out of drug traffickers, and has ruined the lives of millions. But the worst part, is that by including cannabis in schedule I, along with the "real" harmful drugs, we have been deprived of the use of one of the best (if not the best) medicinal herb nature (or God) has created (by evolution or design).

Here is an illustration of the medical properties of some of the cannabinoids.

There is a new documentary named "Weed The People" in Netflix that shows the results of two recent medical studies that shows in vitro empirical evidence that CBG (Cannabigerol) promotes cancer cell apoptosis (certain cancer cells kill themselves) and cancer tumors in rats are significantly shrunk when CBG is added to their diet.  In fact, as far back as 1996 ( 1996 medical study ) it was known that CBG has antitumor properties. CBGA is a precursor to CBDA, CBCA, & THCA. And CBG does not make us high. The hemp (industrial hemp) plants that are now legal, have a high concentration of CBG, but almost no THC. And the medical marijuana that has high THC content have very low CBG content.

YouTube no longer plays the original "The True History of Marijuana". They claim that the BBC claims copyright to parts of it.
Here is a link to a film made by the US Government in 1942 to promote the growing of hemp (cannabis).

HEMP FOR VICTORY

And here is a Wikipedia description of the "Hemp for Victory" film.

A little history regarding the demonizing of Cannabis:

The demonizing of cannabis was started by people in the Alcohol business, after prohibition, because Cannabis was a safer and less expensive alternative to alcohol. Then DuPont and William Randolph Hearst intensified the demonizing in the 40s. DuPond invented Nylon in 1945 and wanted to use Nylon in ropes and other products, but did not want to compete with hemp, since hemp production had gone up during the war, and hemp ropes were very cheap. W. R. Hearst was using, for his many newspapers, paper made from wood pulp. He owned interest in paper mills and in the plantations that provided the wood pulp. Therefore he did not want competition from paper made from hemp. He also owned DuPont stocks.

Marijuana was never made illegal by an amendment, like alcohol was (during prohibition), instead, The Marijuana Tax Act of 1937 was used, by the federal government, as the law that gave them power to arrest people for possession of marijuana. Until 1969, when Professor Timothy Leary told the Supreme Court that the Act violated the Fifth amendment because it required self incrimination. So the Supreme Court ruled the Act unconstitutional (Leary v. United States). The Federal Government, as usual, in violation of the 10th amendment, did not want to relinquish the power to control cannabis, to the states. So the crooked president Richard Nixon & the idiot Attorney General John Mitchell, in 1969, created the Control Substances Act that Congress Passed and Nixon signed into law in 1970. They also created the DEA and the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse (later known as the Shafer Commission). Marijuana was placed in Schedule I, temporarily, pending the 2 year study by the Shafer Commission. In 1972 the commission, after completing it's study & research, reported that Marijuana should be decriminalized and removed from schedule I. However, Nixon refused and ignored the recommendations of the commission. Perhaps because he was ignorant besides being paranoid and dishonest, or perhaps he was trying to protect the illegal marijuana trade, because some of his friends were making millions from it.

Since 1972 we (the honest people) have been trying to remove Cannabis from schedule I.
But the FDA (Fools & Dummies Administration), the DEA, and the Justice Department (may be it should be called "the Injustice Department") continue to deny the removal, against the will of the majority of the people and the majority of the states, and against the advise of scientists and doctors.

After all the U.S.patents (and patents from other countries) that have been granted for the medical use of cannabis, and all the testimony from people who have been healed or medically helped by the use of cannabis. And all the medical studies done in the US and in many other countries, only a delusional mentally challenged person or a corrupted official (who is getting money from the mafia, or from pharmaceutical companies) would believe that there is no medical use for cannabis and that it must stay in Schedule I.

How come Marinol (Pharmaceutically created (synthetic) THC) has been approved by the FDA for medical use, but not "real" THC from the cannabis plant? And CBD (cannabidiol) was in schedule V if sold by GW Pharmaceuticals   but no one else could sell CBD. This was prove of the corruption at the FDA. This has changed. The latest farm bill legalized industrial hemp (cannabis sativa with less than 0.3% THC.
THC is the molecule than causes the euphoric high that the government does not want us to feel, probably because people might like it better than alcohol or tobacco. Therefore, we can now buy products that contain CBD (from internet sites or some local stores).

A very interesting fact, is that world leaders and intellectuals are becoming aware that the "War on Drugs" is a big failure. And are realizing that legalization, regulation, and prevention thru education (like we do with alcohol) is superior to prohibition. Here are links that verify what I just stated, in this paragraph:

Global Commission on Drug Policy (GCDP) (2011).

You can download the GCDP report, in English, Spanish, or Portuguese, from:
Commission of World Leaders Urges End to Failed Drug War.

Latin American Commission on Drugs and Democracy favors decriminalization.

I really feel the need to make a comment on Ex-Attorney General Jeff Sessions' testimony in Congress. He said and I quote "Good people don't smoke marijuana". What a STUPID statement to make. I bed he drinks alcohol, a narcotic that kills more people and causes more financial harm that any other narcotic (legal or illegal). And probably he or some of his family smoke tobacco (an addictive protoplasmic poison that has no medical use). And when asked why he has not approved the sixteen request (from research institutions) for medical studies related to cannabis, he said that "one study is enough". I guest he did not study much science in college. And I am sure he never studied Logic.  I am glad Trump fired him. I am not surprised that mentally challenged prejudice Alabamans are elected or confirmed to a high office in the federal government. What I find illogical is that medical studies require the approval of Liberal Arts majors in the Justice Department. Shouldn't that responsibility be given to the Surgeon General, or the National Institute of Health, or the CDC?
